Dive Insight:
For the thousands of hopeful interns looking for career-building opportunities, being able to know what companies are actually paying interns is a plus. By offering above average pay, companies hope to attract the best candidates and introduce them to the company culture for a summer — and then, after they graduate school, snag them as full-time talent.
Internships play an increasingly important part of the recruiting process, especially as more employers want fresh graduates to have work experience on their resumes even before they begin full-time work.
Obviously, not all companies can afford such massive pay checks to their youngest temporary employees. According to research, millennials and other new grads are always on the lookout for additional perks like remote working, support for more learning, and offers of regular employment. Indeed, many of the companies on this list also offer robust benefits and fun opportunities to their interns, largely free of cost to the interns.
