- As part of a growing partnership with SAP, Microsoft announced it will host SAP's dedicated HR software platform, SuccessFactors, on its Azure cloud service, according to a Microsoft statement.
- Microsoft says the deal will bring SuccessFactors services to a third-party public cloud for the first time, expanding the SAP service to a much larger enterprise customer base, including almost 90% of Fortune 500 companies.
- Previously, the two companies partnered to integrate SAP SuccessFactors, Fieldglass, Ariba and Concur solutions with Microsoft Office 365. Azure has also hosted the SAP HANA cloud platform, according to the statement.

SuccessFactors is one of many convenient cloud solutions for HR departments looking for a more comprehensive service, but it's not getting particularly easier for managers to find the best option for their organization. There are plenty of success stories and noteworthy examples of trends like cloud-based learning actually changing workplace processes for the better
But it's not quite settled whether cloud platforms are necessarily an improvement. One study found that only a fraction of HR leaders feel that such platforms have increased employee feedback and collaboration.
