The course runs from June 29 to Sept. 6, with registration now open.

Taught by Linda Marcot, president of LMC Human Capital Consulting, course participants will learn critical professional skills such as building a business case and "selling" ideas to management. Participants will learn how to heighten the role of HR in strategic organizational leadership, identify strategies to drive success through human capital development, and implement effective organizational design for employee performance and business success.
"In today's business atmosphere, human resource professionals are increasingly being tapped to play bigger roles in business leadership," says Angela Jeantet, director of education and business programs at UC Irvine Extension. "HR professionals of all levels are expected to understand business plans and how human resource strategies and tactics support the overall goals of the business."
