Dive Insight:
Every learning and design professional needs to have a certain set of skills in order to succeed in this market. But certain industries, like architecture, require an advanced knowledge of creative concepts to develop appropriate learning materials.
There has to be a certain comfort level with training modules as well. In this example, the L&D supervisor worked with a external partner that had previous experience working with the product. Diamandi knew the capabilities of Cornerstone and how it could adapt to the needs of his architects, who complete ongoing training.
Every company needs to examine the systems that are in place for learning and evaluate them periodically to ensure they are meeting employee skill requirements and core learning objectives.
