- Deloitte LLP has named Janet Foutty as chairman and chief executive officer of Deloitte Consulting LLP, effective Jan. 1, 2016.
- Most recently, Foutty, a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP, was Deloitte's federal practice leader. Now, she will lead 23,000 professionals in human capital, among other areas. She previously led nearly 17,000 professionals in Deloitte Consulting LLP's technology practice.
- Foutty was selected by Executive Mosaic as one of the Wash100 for 2015 and was also recently named one of the 100 leaders in STEM by STEMconnector.

Foutty is Deloitte Consulting's first female CEO.

Fouty told the Chicago Tribune that she has no problem bringing her personal side to work, and she often counsels employees about how to balance life's demands with work. But, according to the Tribune, she advised women to be themselves and to borrow great ideas from those they admire.
