Dive Insight:
As the breadth of HR technology expands, companies are teaming up with other enterprises so that each one benefits from the other's expertise. Facebook has been particularly keen on entering the talent management space; in 2018, the company announced partnerships with ADP and Paychex regarding its Workplace enterprise platform, another example of Facebook attempting to create a seamless experience between its platforms and the offerings of its HR partners.
Employers and tech providers of all types are teaming up to solve myriad problems, especially as the HR market continues its vast growth. ADP and Slack became partners to allow workers instant-messaging access to their HR materials, including pay notifications and time-off balances.
But the consolidation and partnerships don't end with tech. To meet an ever changing economy, some businesses are partnering with colleges and universities to address the skills gaps. Schools are working with businesses on developing curricula that will provide students with the skills employers say they need, and many employers are finding third-party resources to address gaps in their employee bases.
