Dive Brief:
- Glassdoor has unveiled a new customized website, Glassdoor For Employers, which will help employers of all sizes recruit and hire, it said. The new site will allow recruiters and hiring managers to post and advertise job openings and brand their organizations as their needs demand, Glassdoor said.
- Glassdoor for Employers includes a free, searchable library with recommended resources and articles based on common questions from employers. The site also includes a chat feature that connects users with the information they're looking for and allows them to schedule a meeting with a Glassdoor representative if they need more information about the site's products and services.
- Glassdoor also updated its recruiting features, including the Applicant Management System, which now allows employers to rate and track applicants during the recruiting process, write notes on candidates and use the feature to sort, filter and search for job seekers. Glassdoor said that these features allow employers to stay organized throughout the recruiting process, make informed decisions about candidates and hire the best people.
Dive Insight:
Job sites are adding innovative features that not only help recruiters and hiring managers streamline the recruiting process, but also shorten time-to-hire. Kurt Heikkinen, president and CEO at Montage, previously told HR Dive that tech and data tools will speed time-to-hire, improve the candidate experience and help employers save money. Glassdoor's new features promise to meet many of the demands made by employers.
Employers are also recognizing the value of branding in their search for top talent. In the current employee-driven market, branding can give an employer an edge in the competition to attract applicants. A powerful brand can secure customer loyalty, boost sales and improve the outcome of the recruiting process. Glassdoor released the result of a survey in April revealing that 40% of job seekers were more more likely to apply for a job if they were familiar with the employer's brand. It seems no accident, then, that Glassdoor added branding among the features in its new platform.
