Do workers care about diversity, equity and inclusion efforts by employers? A Monster poll released this month shed light on the question.
As outlined below, nearly 3 in 4 workers surveyed said DEI is not very important to them personally, with the majority of those workers saying that it isn’t important to them at all.
Thoughts are split when asked to identify the most important DEI initiative at work. The plurality of those surveyed said equal opportunities for career advancement was the most important, followed by anti-discrimination and harassment policies. More than 2 in 5 said that offering equal opportunities for promotion was the top way their employers could improve their DEI programs.
The survey was conducted by Monster among workers in December 2024. HR Dive pulled out some of the more interesting statistics below.
