Accarent Health is expanding into more pediatric care categories and broadening its national reach through collaboration with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), the No. 1 pediatric hospital in the Pacific region and California, and among the top 10 in the nation on U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll of Best Children’s Hospitals.

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is industry leader in gene therapy recognized worldwide for their clinicians’ skill and expertise in delivering these unique services. With Accarent, CHLA now offers bundled episodes of care for Zolgensma (onasemnogene abeparvovec) infusion, to treat infants and toddlers with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and Luxturna (voretigene neparvovec) injections, to treat patients with congenital blindness caused by retinitis pigmentosa and other diseases. CHLA is one of only 14 centers in the country administering Luxturna and has experienced remarkable results with nearly all pediatric and adult patients improving their vision.

Recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 12 pediatric program for cardiology and heart surgery, Children’s Los Angeles has also developed cardiovascular episodes of care treating congenital heart conditions such as: 

• Atrium septal defect
• Coarctation of aorta
• Tetralogy of Fallot
• Ventricular septal defect

In addition, CHLA will be adding more orthopedic services to Accarent’s platform with their bundled rate for the Nuss procedure, a surgery to correct severe pectus excavatum, a congenital condition that impacts breastbone and rib development. CHLA is recognized as the No. 6 hospital in the country in pediatric orthopedics, according to U.S. News & World Report, bringing the comfort of quality to the families of some of our youngest patients needing such services.
